The toggle snaffle has two transverse bars on the jawpiece. This shape creates more pressure on the horse's cheeks. This makes a horse easier to maneuver and a bit cannot be pulled through the mouth as easily. In addition, this bit lies quietly and stably in the mouth. The toggle snaffle is ideal for young horses because of the pressure distribution or spirited horses to prevent the bit from being pulled through the mouth. With the toggle bit from TRUST, the rods on the jawpiece are slightly bent outwards so that they cannot come into contact with the side of the horse's head. It is therefore important that you hang the bit in the mouth with the rods facing outwards so that they cannot cause wounds.
The single-jointed bit has one pivot point which puts less pressure on the tongue than a double-jointed mouthpiece. A single-broken mouthpiece acts mainly on the layers, the side of the tongue and can also act in the palate. A single-broken mouthpiece is considered a standard mouthpiece.
Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Sweet Iron develops surface rust through contact with (air) moisture that tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the horse's salivation. This will cause the horse to foam more, which improves acceptance of the bit. This rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue color of TRUST bits to brownish gray.
