Description
Starting around the age of 18, a horse’s body begins to change. Digestion becomes less efficient, and nutrients are not as easily broken down and absorbed. You may not notice this at first, as many horses can still perform well into old age. However, your horse’s nutritional needs also change. For example, the body requires more protein to maintain muscle condition and becomes less able to process sugars.
